Electrical Maintenance Specialist

About this Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance and operations activities at the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). Your tasks will include electrical general maintenance, plant operations, commissioning tasks, and shift relief.

Your duties will involve working onsite with the structural remediation crew in various departments, including maintenance, production, and project. You will report to the Wisely Supervisor and BMA Electrical Supervisor.

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. If you have experience in CHPP/Washplant maintenance and possess the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Performing routine inspections and tests to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Assisting with commissioning new equipment and processes
  • Providing support during shift changes and responding to emergencies as needed

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Electrotechnology or a related field
  • Coal Board Medical Certificate
  • Standard 11
  • QLD Electrical Licence
  • LVR/CPR
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Spaces
  • Gas Test Atmosphere
  • Elevated Work Platform (desirable)
  • Experience in CHPP/Washplant maintenance (desirable)
