About the RoleWe are seeking highly skilled and experienced fitters to join our Breakdowns team across our Western Australian Iron Ore sites. The successful candidate will work on a 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, fly in - fly out roster.
Key Responsibilities- Repair, inspect, and maintain a variety of equipment, including AH Komatsu 930E-5 haul trucks and Caterpillar ancillary equipment.
- Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment.
- Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementation of new initiatives.
- Demonstrate a focus on safety, achievement, and team engagement in all aspects of work.
- Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications.
- Komatsu haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, WA1200 highly desirable.
- Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment.
- Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence essential.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail and procedure.
- Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP.
- Safety first mentality.
