Senior Project Engineer Role

The Senior Project Engineer ITS oversees all project life cycle stages, from preliminary planning to construction and handover of MEI systems.

About the Opportunity

This role is accountable for managing the successful delivery of ITS works and other MEI engineering functions from procurement tender process evaluation to contact execution and delivery.

  • Procurement: Manage the procurement process including tender evaluation, technical support, and subcontractor interviews chairing.
  • System Design & Engineering: Review design documents and outcomes, complete constructability and commissioning reviews, and input into technical reviews.
  • Delivery & Project Management: Develop and submit construction/commissioning work packs, manage subcontractor budgets and timelines, and communicate with internal disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle, conduct quality assurance inspections and tests, and prepare documentation and reports.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with professional engineering registration or equivalent.

Minimum Requirements for this Role:

  • Over 10 years of experience in managing industrial electrical and communication systems, with a strong portfolio of successful large-scale infrastructure project deliveries.
  • Expert knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and best practices related to electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management excellence, with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
