Sikorsky Australia is committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. As a key player in the defence industry, we are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

  • As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the Hobart Class Combat System, ensuring its optimal performance and integration with naval platforms.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and maintain the Engineering Assurance framework, driving consistency and quality across our projects.
  • In this role, you will conduct Pre-Engineered Change & Impact Assessments (PECIA) for minor engineering changes, leveraging your expertise to mitigate risks and optimize outcomes.
  • Additionally, you will assist our customers in developing and executing engineering changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • With excellent communication skills and a strong technical background, you will provide engineering oversight to Multi Element Integration & Test team activities, ensuring seamless integration and testing of our systems.
  • Your experience working with internal and external stakeholders will be invaluable in achieving common goals and driving project success.

About You:

  • We welcome applications from experienced Systems Engineers with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering, holding a degree qualification.
  • Strong experience in systems engineering lifecycle in a sustainment environment is essential, particularly in Avionics/Aeronautics, Maritime, or Land domains.
  • You should possess significant experience working with broad sets of internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to develop/publish high-quality plans, processes & procedures are also required.
  • An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information are necessary for this role.
