About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust HSE management systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver comprehensive HSE training programs to employees and contractors, fostering a safety-conscious culture.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, proposing initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to promote HSE awareness and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Communicate effectively with external auditing teams to facilitate audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with external standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a similar HSE Officer or related role, ideally within the industrial sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
