The role of an AWS Senior Support Data Engineer is a vital part of a federal government organisation in Australia.

We are seeking several experienced professionals to join the team in Geelong or Richmond, Victoria.

  • This 12-month initial contract plus 12-month extension offers a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week onsite.
  • Australian citizenship is required for this federal government role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain data assets on Cloud Data Lake, Cloud EDW, Legacy EDW, and SAS analytics platform.
  • Operational support for daily data delivery process, month-end processing, and responding to data-related requests in BAU pipeline.
  • Ensure the platform meets defined SLA's and support all operational processes across all tools within data platform.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • AWS Cloud, AWS S3, AWS Glue, or similar tools within cloud environment.
  • Level 2/3 technical support for AWS, Control-M, Teradata (Legacy EDW), Snowflake, and ETL tool-based data integration solutions.
  • DevOps – Understanding of DevOps process and ability to use DevOps tools in accordance with process.
  • Programming – High level of competency in programming, including knowledge of supplementary programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience in Control M or similar scheduling applications.
  • Familiarity with file handling and management.
