About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Grounds/Handyman to join our Karratha Resources Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the facilities, equipment, and grounds, and providing essential support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct minor repairs on buildings and structures, such as fixing leaks, broken windows, or doors.
  • Ensure that common areas, restrooms, and workspaces are clean and sanitary.
  • Maintain and repair hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks or blockages.
  • Assist with basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs or fuses.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the site and report hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed, such as helping with logistics or transportation.
  • Manage supplies and materials inventory, ensuring necessary items are in stock.
Requirements
  • Certifications in areas like plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or other relevant trades.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping roles, preferably in industrial or mining environments.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working without constant supervision.
  • Police Clearance or willing to obtain one and medically fit to pass pre-employment medical.
  • Australian Driver's License (Required).
