About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to oversee Site Supervisors across various projects, ensuring the planning, organization, and management of assigned project sites are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Lead a team of 4-6 Site Supervisors, ensuring optimal labor allocation and resource utilization.
  • Project Planning: Review project plans, schedules, and specifications, providing input on construction design, scheduling, cost savings measures, and potential construction problems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with the scope of works.
  • Site Meetings and Liaison: Attend site meetings, liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss projects and resolve issues.
  • Cost Control and Variations: Monitor cost control, identify and analyze variations, and report on potential issues.
  • OHSE&Q Management: Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
  • Security and Operations: Maintain control and responsibility for company-owned vehicles, equipment, plant, and tools.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality construction standards and quality control of OH&S practices.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure commercial-in-confidence information and documentation is secured at all times.
  • Client Management: Implement Clients' management systems across assigned projects and recommend potential changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' field experience in a similar role.
  • Civil Engineering Degree with Bridge and Concrete Structure experience.
  • Able to manage multiple projects across South Australia.
  • Excellent supervision, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Australian Construction industry's applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
