Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Support and Maintenance of Business Applications
    • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of our business applications
    • Manage upgrades and enhancements to business applications, minimizing disruption and maximizing efficiency
  • Provide Expert-Level Database Administration (DBA) Skills
    • Install, configure, and perform performance tuning of on-premise and Azure databases
    • Backup and recover databases as needed
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Data Warehouse Technologies
    • Support the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouse solutions to meet reporting and analytics needs
  • Lead the Evaluation and Selection of New Business Applications and Technologies
    • Conduct thorough assessments of vendor solutions and participate in the procurement process as needed
  • Lead and Mentor a Team of Business Application Support Specialists
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and professional growth
  • Assist in Providing Technology Leadership to Mind Executive and Management
    • Ensure that strategic planning is well-informed and that resultant initiatives are managed as a portfolio of investments
  • Develop and Maintain Documentation and Knowledge Base Articles
    • Support the business application support function and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
  • Manage Mind's Technology Assets and System Controls
    • Ensure that the organization meets regulatory and legislative compliance requirements
Requirements
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
    • Computer science, information technology, business, or a related field
  • Experience Working in Microsoft On-Premises and Cloud Platforms
    • Particular focus on the Microsoft on-premises and cloud platforms that form the basis of our technology strategic direction
  • Preferred Certifications
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • Strong Technical Skills in Database Administration
    • Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and Azure SQL Database
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse Concepts and Technologies
    • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions
