Target Business Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team at Lygon Restaurant Pty Ltd T/A Bibi ji.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Indian cuisine with consistency and creativity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new menu items that cater to seasonal relevance and customer preferences
  • Maintaining food preparation and storage in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborating with the management team to control food costs and ensure profitability
  • Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain consistency and high-quality output
  • Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained in proper working order

The successful candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, strong leadership qualities, and relevant qualifications. Requirements include:

  • Relevant qualification at the level of a Diploma in Hospitality or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional dishes
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate the kitchen team
