Resettlement Specialist

Australian Muslim Women's Centre for Human Rights is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the rights and status of Muslim women in Australia.

We work to empower women by:

• Providing specialised casework support for newly arrived refugees
• Conducting needs and risk assessments to identify areas of support
• Developing individualised action plans to meet client goals

The Caseworker role requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and an ability to work effectively with diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake services, including needs and risk assessments
• Advocate and coordinate with relevant services to seek support for clients
• Maintain accurate case notes and manage data entry

Requirements

• Qualifications in social work, community services, or a related field
• Experience working with refugees, particularly Muslim women
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Diplomatic and effective interpersonal skills
