About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team at IKEA. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operation of the team, supporting daily operational problems, and delivering training programs and workshops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operation of the team
  • Support daily operational problems and react appropriately to urgent issues
  • Deliver training programs and workshops to secure competence, development, and achievement of learning objectives
  • Share specialist knowledge of the IKEA product range, services, and tools to secure a high level of competence within the team
  • Encourage the team to actively sell the department's top-selling products, prioritized products, and IKEA service products to maximize sales and long-term profitability
  • Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced, and fully stocked, and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are always in place to give customers a positive shopping experience
Requirements
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Passionate about people's everyday life at home and home furnishing
  • Able to deliver exceptional customer service and foster an inclusive and positive co-worker experience
  • Comfortable with coordinating your team, setting priorities, and delegating responsibility
  • Proven track record of creating a customer experience and determination to drive commercial outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to develop meaningful relationships through outstanding interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range
