Job Summary: As a Test Automation Architect, you will be responsible for defining and implementing enterprise-level automation strategies for our clients. This will involve designing and developing automation frameworks, reviewing existing models, and suggesting improvements. You will also be responsible for leading the implementation of test strategies, test plans, and test execution for large-scale enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation frameworks for large-scale enterprises.
- Design and develop test automation solutions using various tools like Selenium, Rest Assured, TOSCA, HPMC, UFT, etc.
- Review and improve existing automation models and frameworks.
- Lead the implementation of test strategies, test plans, and test execution for large-scale enterprises.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing efficiency through automation and enhance test coverage.
- Mentor and lead a team of automation testers to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation frameworks and test automation solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in automation and quality engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider five years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 8-12 years of experience with Information Technology.
- Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in API/Microservices Testing & Automation using Rest Assured, Postman.
- Experience in Continuous integration environment with knowledge on Configuration+ Build+ Release management.
- Experience in working with CI/CD processes and tooling such as GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, BitBucket.
- Experience in industrializing BDD (Behavior Driven Development)/TDD using tools like Cucumber, Serenity and Playwright-BDD.
- Ability to plan, automate and execute test scripts on a regular basis, and investigate any issues found.
- 5-8 years of UI, API & Mobile test automation implementations with TDD and or BDD environments.
- Extensive knowledge on UI automation tools like Selenium, UFT One, Playwright.
- Experience in scripting/development experience (JAVA, J2EE, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell, Python, etc.).
- Unit Testing frameworks like TestNG, Junit, mocking solutions, etc.
- Code Coverage tools like Jacoco, JSCover, Sonar, etc.
- Continuous integration systems: Jenkins, Bamboo etc.
- Collaboration and project management tools: JIRA, Rally, ALM, etc.
- Source Code Management Tools, Bitbucket.
- Testing frameworks for REST API – Rest Assured and Postman.
- Service Virtualization tools like Mockoon, CA Lisa etc.
- Hands on experience in Agile environment using CI, with automation first mind set.
- Mentoring other team members to learn and use the automation test harness.
- Ability to work with other teams to improve testing efficiency through automation and improve test coverage.
- Ability to work well under pressure without degrading delivery quality.
- Should be able to efficiently lead a team of automation testers which is not co-located (onshore/offshore model).
- Strong Stakeholder Management and client interfacing skills.
- Recommends new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality.
Nice to Have skills:
- Exposure to latest trends in Quality Engineering space, like RPA, Analytics driven testing, usage of AI/ML in QA.
- Knowledge on GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot and its adoption within enterprises.
- Knowledge on Playwright Automation Tool.
- Good experience on mobile automation solutions like UFT Mobile and others to provide fit for purpose solutions for our clients.
