About the Role
">Our organization is seeking a skilled Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing individualized care and support tailored to each client’s needs.
This diverse and challenging role will involve helping clients build skills and independence through engaging activities and in-home support. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living and medical tasks where required, as well as encouraging independence and skill-building through various activities.
Your positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families will be essential in creating a supportive environment. In addition, you will handle challenges with empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication and relationship-building skills, as well as resilience, adaptability, and confidence in supporting people from diverse backgrounds.
You will also require the ability to prioritize and problem-solve under pressure, as well as flexible availability (shift work, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers). Additionally, you must be confident using Microsoft Word and Outlook, possess a current Australian Driver’s Licence, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and be able to pass a National Criminal History Check.
Previous experience supporting high-needs disability clients is highly desirable.
