Job Description

The Home Care Assistant delivers individualised, personalised care and assistance to clients so they may continue to live in their home and focus on their quality of life. This rewarding role involves providing support with daily living activities such as monitoring client condition, transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, meal preparation and other health and wellness related activities.

A key aspect of this position is the ability to demonstrate a commitment to best practice care, ensuring that all in-home care is provided in a personalised, caring and respectful way in accordance with policy and procedures and aligned to client care plans, goals and health outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in aged care community services
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and computer skills.
  • Flexible approach - we adapt to your needs
  • Confident using electronic communication and applications - We keep you informed and support you in learning our systems
  • COVID vaccination - essential in the Home Care industry
  • Valid CPR and First Aid
  • Certificate III in Ageing, Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification desirable
  • Full driver's license and suitable transportation
  • Ability to provide client transportation
  • Available Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends
