Job Overview

As a Technical Field Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our communication systems. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, antennas, and associated cabling/feeder systems to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, configure and troubleshoot related software across multiple platforms.
  • Support engineering teams in setting up platforms, providing technical assistance, and adhering to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on technical maintenance and support activities to develop solutions and resolve technical requests.
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively through documentation, such as post-activity reports, system specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Maintain strict adherence to approved work practices and WHS procedures, including ESD prevention, electronic equipment handling, and safe working at heights.
  • Participate in the assembly, installation, test, and commissioning of systems and products.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate IV in Electrotechnology and Communications or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in repairing and maintaining communication systems, including HF, VHF, UHF Radio Systems, SATCOM Systems, Secure Voice and Cryptographic Systems, IT Infrastructure, and software application management.
  • Eligibility for Australian Citizenship and an Australian Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
  • Ability to support occasional work outside standard working hours.
