Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the production of high-quality precast concrete panels, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards.

The QA Manager will foster a culture within the production team that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team, proactively preventing issues and addressing them swiftly and effectively should they arise.

  • Prepare project quality assurance documents, procedures, and processes.
  • Provide inspection activity for the panel throughout the production cycle.
  • Direct quality control inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Conduct pre-pour, post-pour, installation, and yard inspections to assess the appearance and overall quality of the panels.
  • Review drawings of precast panels to be produced daily.
  • Collaborate with the production manager to enhance overall quality through communication and observation.
  • Train staff in their Quality responsibilities and ensure the QA team is adequately supported and trained to fulfill their duties.

Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in Engineering (or equivalent) or Quality Management.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS 9001:2015), industry codes, and procedures.
  • Acquainted with precast concrete, steel framing, and reinforced concrete construction techniques.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret architectural and engineering documents and drawings.
  • Solid understanding of quality control procedures.
  • Capability to diagnose and address issues related to the strength or consistency of concrete.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
