Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

This is a rewarding role for an experienced data engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background in Python and SQL, with experience in designing and managing ETL/ELT processes across multiple systems.

They will also have a solid understanding of data modelling and database architecture, as well as experience working with cloud data platforms, including Azure.

In this role, you will lead the integration of data sources, optimise ETL processes, and ensure the quality and reliability of data across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Integrate diverse data sources to create unified, accessible datasets for analytics and business insights.
  • Architect and implement robust data engineering solutions that are secure, efficient, and maintainable.
  • Automate data workflows using modern tools and scripting languages.
  • Monitor performance of data systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in data quality, governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for someone with over 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, and machine learning environments.

They should be proficient in using Snowflake or similar modern data warehousing platforms, and have experience working with Git or similar version control systems.
