About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Catalogue Officer to join our team at Northern Star Resources Limited. As a key member of our purchasing and master data team, you will be responsible for processing internal applications for new stock items, maintaining supplier Fixed Price Agreements, and processing new supplier onboarding requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application of New Stock Items:
    • Process daily applications for new stock items in our NSR ERP System, ensuring all supporting information is accurate and correct approval limits are adhered to.
    • Review catalogued items in the NSR inventory system to ensure information is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant.
    • Implement standardisation between all datasets, including descriptions, unit of measures, and removing duplicate stock codes.
    • Standardise group coding criticalities and ensure descriptions and notes are clear and precise for easy search functionality.
    • Verify supplier descriptions and part numbers are accurate to enable replenishment of stock without additional information.
  • Fixed Price Agreements:
    • Monitor supplier price file expiry dates, issue supplier price file templates, analyse supplier price data, and upload new supplier pricing on approval.
    • Engage with suppliers to review price rise and falls and their impact on the NSR business.
    • Collaborate with NSR sourcing and contract specialists to obtain and upload updated supplier reagent pricing.
  • New Supplier Onboarding:
    • Process daily new supplier requests.
    • Identify active suppliers in the NSR ERP system to avoid onboarding new suppliers.
    • Evaluate supplier utilisation data and rationalise the number of suppliers in the NSR system.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years of experience in a similar data analysis, cataloguing, or master data maintenance role. You should have an excellent attention to detail, a genuine interest in problem-solving, data analysis, and interpretation.

  • Outstanding administration and data entry skills are essential.
  • Experience with warehouse inventory master data and ERP systems, particularly Pronto, is highly desirable.
  • Advanced computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
  • Well-honed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build solid relationships with stakeholders.
  • Innovative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely well-organised, with a keen attention to detail, and a passion for data analytics.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
