Maximizing tax efficiency is a critical component of any successful business strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tax planning strategies that minimize financial liabilities and maximize returns.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Tax Accountant position involves working closely with clients to understand their unique financial situations and develop tailored solutions to meet their tax needs. This includes preparing and submitting tax returns, as well as providing expert advice on tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare complex tax returns and financial statements for various entities.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize financial liabilities and maximize returns.
- Provide expert advice on tax-related matters, including tax law and regulations.
- Strong background in Public Practice Accounting with a focus on taxation.
- Ability to analyze client businesses and understand cash flows, reporting, and profitability.
- Proficiency in accounting packages (MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication and written skills for client interactions.
- Minimum 5 years public practice accounting experience and relevant degree qualification.
- CPA or CA certification is preferred or currently undertaking the certification would be highly regarded.
