Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to become a vital part of our Sustainability team. Reporting to the Superintendent of Health, Safety & Training, this role will provide leadership to a team of six Advisors across our three underground and two open pit mines, as well as processing areas.
This position offers the chance to engage with various stakeholders throughout our mining operations and the broader Sustainability team. Each day presents new challenges, allowing you to significantly impact our expanding operations.
The role operates on a 4:3 (12-hour day) roster, ensuring weekends are free, with FIFO arrangements from Perth or residential options in Kalgoorlie. Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership experience in health and hygiene, injury management, security, and emergency response within a mining context. Key qualifications include:
- A qualification in Health & Safety
- Over 10 years of experience as a Health & Safety Advisor in a mining environment
- A minimum of 2 years of operational experience in underground mining
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing management plans, procedures, work method statements, and related documentation
- Experience in facilitating risk assessments (WRAC, JSA)
- Familiarity with ICAM investigations (completion of ICAM training)
- Experience with INX and Pronto systems is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
