We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Specialist to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support and empowering participants to achieve their employment goals, using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model.
This is a unique opportunity to work within an evidence-based service, making a real difference in the community and contributing to the success of our organization.
About the RoleAs an Employment Specialist, you will manage a caseload of participants with mental health disability, providing person-centred support that empowers them to achieve their employment objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering services using the IPS Model — the world's most evidence-based approach to employment for people with mental illness.
- Supporting participants through every step of their journey: vocational profiling, job search, resume and interview preparation, placement, post-placement support, and ongoing support.
- Striving to exceed individual and team performance targets, delivering sustainable employment outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the service.
- Building strong partnerships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with NDIS and community providers, ensuring wrap-around supports for participants' wellbeing.
- Monitoring outcomes, keeping accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.

- A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification (Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or related field).
- Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, their supports, and employers.
- Business development skills and local employer connections (highly regarded).
- Current driver's licence and your own vehicle.
- Ability to obtain all required clearances (NDIS, Working with Children, Police Check).
