About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional with a proven track record of managing diamond drill crews to work on long-term projects. The ideal candidate will have the motivation to build their career and a commitment to upholding the company's values of safety and performance.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading and motivating a small team of drill crew members;
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work site and equipment;
  • Providing effective communication between McKay Drilling management and client representatives;
  • Maximizing core recovery and monitoring hole direction targets;
  • Selecting appropriate drilling methods and equipment to achieve client objectives;
  • Troubleshooting complex down-hole problems and implementing solutions;
  • Planning and completing preventative maintenance to optimize equipment productivity;
  • Ensuring compliance with Company WHS regulations and site-specific rules;
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong service focus with excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills;
  • A proven ability to work in physically demanding roles under pressure and manage small teams;
Essential Requirements

Please note that applicants must:

  • Be based in Perth;
  • Hold a current HR driver's license;
  • Have a national police clearance;
  • Pass a role-specific medical check and regular drug and alcohol screening;
