We are seeking a skilled professional to work on a logistics contract for the Defence Science & Technology Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inventory accounting and transaction data entry into our database in support of the DST research program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct asset and equipment inventory management and accounting, data entry, and documentation using various DST inventory accounting systems and associated record keeping.
  • Provide assistance with the management and development of equipment documentation in the DST Group Explosives Management system (XMS) in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Manage data entry into DST equipment information systems, the primary DST Group Administrator and User.
  • Manage inventory assurance and stock checks for equipment and associated assets.
  • Participate in internal assurance and investigation, discrepancies, and acquittals.
  • Liaise with Defence Equipment Services.
  • Identify and correct data errors and account discrepancies.
  • Monitor equipment storage inventory with respect to routine inspection programs.
  • Prepare and provide relevant reports and documentation.
  • Provide advice and support to problem-solving activities.
  • Understand and implement regulatory requirements, including defence security, HSE, EEO, work instructions, and technical instructions.

Requirements:

  • Completed training or demonstrated competence Certificate IV in Explosive Ordnance or ability to obtain.
  • Strong data entry capabilities with intermediate to advanced levels in Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience in working with explosive ordnance, including warehousing and transportation and packaging of EO would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in facilities inspection as well as stock checks.
  • Preferrably already hold a current AGSVA (NV1) security clearance or higher.

Prior to offer, you'll complete a pre-employment police and medical.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and a keen eye for detail. They should be proficient in Excel and Word and have previous experience in working with explosive ordnance. A current AGSVA (NV1) security clearance is preferred but not required.
