We are seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, assisting with tax compliance, and reconciling accounts.

About the Role

You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide expert advice on bookkeeping practices. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards;">
  • Assist with BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, and compliance tasks;">
  • Reconcile bank accounts, receivables, and payables;">
  • Respond to client queries and resolve bookkeeping issues;">
  • Suggest improvements to bookkeeping processes and service delivery;">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 6 months to 6 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience;">
  • Qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting (or working towards them);">
  • Familiarity with Xero and MYOB AccountRight;">
  • Payroll processing experience;">
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles;">
  • GST knowledge and compliance understanding;">
  • Strong time management and communication skills;">
  • A proactive and self-driven attitude;">
