About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Sime Darby Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including Caterpillar machinery and components.

This is a challenging and engaging role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. You will work with advanced technology, including computer-controlled systems and electronic diagnostic tools, to ensure that our equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair, maintain, and service heavy equipment, including Caterpillar machinery and components
  • Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, and SIS) to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment
  • Work as part of a skilled and driven team to achieve target times for repairs
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
  • A customer-driven focus and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control
