We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team at BaptistCare. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to maintain optimal functional abilities and maximize their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality physiotherapy interventions to residents, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatments and programs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical supervision to the Lifestyle Coordinator and Therapy and Leisure Partners to ensure the needs of residents are met.
- Model enablement of residents and provide direction and assistance to other staff members in performing their duties.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and regular reviews to identify residents' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Build trusting relationships with residents based on dignity and respect, communicating in a manner that is appropriate to each individual's strengths and limitations.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
- An understanding and appreciation of contemporary physiotherapy practice and issues in aged care.
- An ability to collaborate, negotiate, and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team approach to care planning and delivery.
- An ability to relate to older people with empathy, understanding, and affording dignity and respect.
- Willingness to obtain or provide proof of up-to-date Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccinations.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical.
- Willingness to obtain a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check.
