Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in electrical design and excellent communication skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of electrical services across multiple building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical designs that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage client relationships, attend design meetings, and act as the primary point of contact.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Contribute to business development by nurturing existing clients and supporting growth initiatives.
  • Oversee project documentation, coordination with other disciplines, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
  • Drive innovation in energy efficiency, lighting, power distribution, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with 5–12 years' experience in building services consultancy.
  • Proven capability in leading electrical services design projects from concept to delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing experience.
  • Ability to manage teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate across disciplines.
  • Commercially minded, with an interest in contributing to business growth.
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or working towards this highly regarded.
