Software Development Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative software solutions that meet the needs of our National Intelligence Community partner, the Australian Signals Directorate - ASD.

As a key member of our high-functioning team, you will work closely with your colleagues to design, build and deploy high-quality systems using the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities will include writing well-tested code, designing and building complex systems, participating in agile ceremonies and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.

  • Write clean, efficient and well-documented code to solve complex problems.
  • Design and develop high-quality systems with the latest technologies.
  • Contribute to agile development methodologies, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives and other team meetings.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback and collaborate with colleagues to improve software quality.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, particularly in languages such as Java, C#, AngularJS, React or JavaScript.

A strong understanding of microservice architectures, RESTful APIs, containerised software (e.g. OpenShift, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) and relational database technologies is essential.

Competent candidates will also have hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, as well as an understanding of test-driven development principles.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, particularly Java, C#, AngularJS, React or JavaScript.
  • Understanding of microservice architectures and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with containerised software (e.g. OpenShift, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of relational database technologies.
