Opportunity OverviewWe are seeking a Strategy Analyst to support the Chief Financial Officer with strategic planning, operational improvement, M&A, and other strategic initiatives to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational KPI analysis and modelling
- Develop detailed financial evaluations to support proposed projects
- Identify improvement opportunities and formulate strategies to address business challenges through emerging technology (AI) that drive change
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences, preparing presentations and reports to the board and executive team
- Support strategic pricing work and perform competitive analysis
- Provide modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence and project management support for M&A opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Economics, Finance or related field with proven commercial acumen
- Experience in investment banking, or the Big 4 is highly desirable
- Proven experience in strategic planning backed by strong financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in predictive data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power Bi)
- Strong skills in the preparation of succinct presentations
- Detail oriented with a keen attention accuracy
- Demonstrated experience and involvement in understanding a corporate finance function
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision making processes
- Highly self-motivated with effective time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to changing business environments and priorities
