Position Overview

The Recycling Attendant will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the facility, with a focus on proper recycling and disposal of materials.
  2. Evaluating the contents of vehicles entering the recycling center and guiding drivers to the correct disposal areas.
  3. Assisting customers in unloading materials and providing guidance on appropriate disposal methods.
  4. Instructing on the separation of materials to meet safety standards.
  5. Engaging in physical tasks, including repetitive bending and moving items.
  6. Adhering to Endeavour's Work Health and Safety protocols.

Candidate Profile

  1. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, with short notice.
  2. Possession of a valid driver's license and personal transportation is strongly recommended due to the nature of the role.
  3. Strong attention to detail in sorting and stacking items safely.
  4. Exceptional customer service skills, effective communication, and time management abilities.
  5. Capability to lift and move items as necessary when assisting customers.
  6. Ability to work independently while maintaining respect for colleagues.
  7. A genuine passion for recycling, reusing, and upcycling materials.

Required Clearances

  1. Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  2. A 'Fit 2 Work' National Police Check upon onboarding.
  3. Essential personal transportation due to limited public transport options at certain locations.
