Palliative Care Registrar Job Description

Mediix is seeking a compassionate Palliative Care Registrar to join their team in the Australian Capital Territory. This full-time, temporary role offers hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role
  • This position involves providing medical support as part of an interdisciplinary team in both community and hospice-based palliative care programs.
  • You will work under the supervision of experienced Palliative Care Consultants and be responsible for supporting patients and their families to manage palliative care needs at home.
  • The successful candidate will also contribute to 24-hour phone support for patients and their families and assist in training families on caregiving skills and providing in-home equipment.
  • You will participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance your skills in palliative care.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide medical support in community and hospice-based palliative care programs.
  2. Work under the supervision of experienced Palliative Care Consultants.
  3. Support patients and their families to manage palliative care needs at home.
  4. Contribute to 24-hour phone support for patients and their families.
  5. Assist in training families on caregiving skills and providing in-home equipment.
  6. Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

  • A competitive salary range of $112,917 - $141,084 (plus superannuation) pro rata.
