Job Summary:

As a Coach Captain, you will ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to and demonstrating safe work and driving practices. You will also understand and comply with road rules, operational processes including pre-starts, ticketing, incident reporting, and passenger manifest and freight consignment procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to and demonstrating safe work and driving practices
  • Understand and comply with road rules, operational processes including pre-starts, ticketing, incident reporting, and passenger manifest and freight consignment procedures
  • Perform administrative duties when required including pre-start documentation, completion of log books, fault sheets, journey records ensuring accurate records
  • Demonstrate correct manual handling of all luggage and freight including safe manual handling techniques at all times
  • Manage own fatigue through effective Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) which also includes being fit for duty

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current HR driver licence
  • A current Drivers Authority / Endorsement
  • Demonstrable coach driving experience
  • An outstanding safety focus, including a commitment to your own fitness for duty
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service is a must
  • Time management skills
  • Mechanical knowledge is desirable
