About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Tasmania. As a Senior Research Fellow, you will be part of a world-leading research and industry development team, focusing on pasture-based ruminant livestock production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects, collaborating with industry stakeholders and academic colleagues.
- Lead a program of high-quality research, publishing in top-tier journals and presenting at international conferences.
- Provide academic leadership, mentoring PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
- Develop and maintain productive links with industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of research proposals, securing funding for projects.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field, such as animal science, agriculture, or a related discipline.
- Strong research portfolio, with a demonstrated track record of publications and presentations.
- Experience in designing and implementing research projects, working with industry stakeholders.
- Proven ability to supervise research higher degree students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
