**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Family Violence Applicant Practitioner. This role is central to our court's response to family violence, providing trauma-informed support to applicants and helping ensure their safety and access to justice.
This is an opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by family violence. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide non-legal support to individuals attending court who have experienced family violence.
- Conduct risk assessments aligned with the MARAM framework and develop tailored safety plans.
- Refer clients to appropriate community services for ongoing support, counselling, and case management.
- Liaise with legal services, police prosecutors, and court staff to support applicants through the court process.
- Consider the needs of children and make referrals to child protection services where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and contribute to reporting and data collection.
- Represent the court in working groups, network meetings, and community education initiatives.
- Provide support across satellite and headquarter courts, including remote assistance when required.
