Maintenance Engineering Fitter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineering Fitter to join our manufacturing team at Pact Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe running of our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Operations team in maintaining the manufacturing process, ensuring products are delivered in full, to the correct quality specification, and on time.
  2. Provide technical services and expertise to support process optimization and improvement initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with the team to identify and implement predictive maintenance solutions to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency.
  4. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our manufacturing processes and equipment, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  5. Work closely with the Operations team to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
  6. Contribute to a positive and constructive work environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to Workplace Health, Safety & Environment.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner or similar.
  2. Demonstrated experience in maintenance fitter roles, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing or production environment.
  3. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  5. A positive and flexible approach to dealing with operational issues in a high-pressure environment.
  6. Forklift license, EWP, and fabrication experience are highly regarded.
