About Our Client:

Our client is a leading food manufacturer based in Liverpool, NSW, Australia. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes to prevent downtime.
  3. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
  4. Equipment Installation and Upgrade: Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as required to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance personnel and production teams to address any mechanical issues that may impact production.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  7. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements, including food safety regulations.
  8. Shutdowns and Overhauls: Assist in equipment overhauls and planned shutdowns as needed.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process optimization initiatives to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Requirements:

  1. Qualification: Trade qualification in Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, ideally within the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
  3. Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues efficiently.
  4. Attributes: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Availability: Availability to work day shifts, 6am to 2pm.
