Project Estimator

We are seeking a talented project estimator with experience in first principles construction estimating. The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of clients and projects, including infrastructure development, public utilities, and mining operations.

The Project Estimator role is crucial in providing accurate and competitive estimates to support business growth. As a key member of the estimating team, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of construction processes, operations, and methodologies
  • Utilize knowledge of construction costs, pricing strategies, and market trends to optimize estimate outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential project risks and opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange
  • Deliver high-quality estimates within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil estimating with onsite project experience in the construction industry
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, or similar is preferred but not essential
  • Advanced time management skills supporting ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Well-developed communication skills to assist in client meetings and internal reviews
  • Ability to deliver competitive estimates from first principles to project start-up
