Key Responsibilities- Deliver Evidence-Based Nursing Care: Provide compassionate and individualized care to patients, adhering to the highest standards of nursing practice.
- Liaise with the Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and other nurses to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Ensure Patient and Staff Safety: Identify and mitigate potential risks, adhering to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Deliver Excellent Patient Care: Prioritize patient needs, respond to concerns, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Work Closely with Visiting Medical Officers: Develop strong relationships with medical officers to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Current Registration with AHPRA: Hold a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Perioperative Nursing Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in perioperative nursing, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Working with Children Check: Hold a valid Working with Children check.
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care: Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to the highest standards of nursing practice.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards: Ensure compliance with the Australian Commission on Quality and Safety in Health Care (ACQSHC) national standards.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
- Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records and other healthcare systems.
