Electronic Surveillance Specialist

The role involves close operational support in electronic surveillance analysis as directed by senior analysts and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide close operational support in electronic surveillance analysis as directed by the Team Leader, Senior Electronic Surveillance Analysts, and operations teams.
  • Maintain advanced currency in the application of analytical methodologies such as discovery analysis, statistical analysis, anomaly analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Demonstrate extensive technical knowledge, applied tradecraft, and professional decision making in relevant domains.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of ESAT's scope within Covert Technical Operations and how it contributes to the wider organisation.
Requirements:
  • Australian Citizenship at the time of application.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Completed Electronic Surveillance Analyst Foundations course or the ability to attain within 6 months of commencement.
  • Ability to successfully complete an annual psychological screening specific to this position.
  • Professional and effective stakeholder engagement and communications skills with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.

The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:

  • Advanced data literacy with large and complex data sets.
  • Experience contributing to team projects and contributing to strategic outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of Investigative and Intelligence processes and techniques.
