Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate earthmoving equipment up to 150 BHP, including frontend loaders, landfill compactors, excavators, and skid-steer vehicles.
  • Inform and assist drivers and/or members of the public on proper placement for dumping loads to ensure efficient waste spreading.
  • Excavate, load dry waste, and compact or cover waste in accordance with company and contractual requirements, as well as applicable regulations.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions, or operating procedures and company regulations.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties and maintain a professional image.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and work well in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Current driver's license
  • Excavator and/or loader ticket
  • Full working rights without restriction
  • Able to pass a full functional medical, including drug and alcohol screening (urine)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in the waste industry (desired but not essential)
  • Good work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Self-motivated and able to show initiative
  • Mechanical aptitude

Benefits:

  • Casual-to-permanent conversion after 3 months (for the right candidate)
  • Competitive hourly rate: $44.56 per hour, plus penalties
  • Monday-to-Friday schedule, 32-38 hours per week, plus overtime when required
