Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Disability Support Development Worker.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building trusting relationships, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Developing person-centered supports around the individual
  • Engaging support workers, team leaders, and facilitators with the appropriate skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Inducting and providing ongoing and refresher training for support workers
  • Supervising and mentoring support staff and/or team leaders to achieve the person's goals and outcomes
  • Creating a culture where everyone feels valued and respected

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social welfare or related fields
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the disability or aged care sector
  • Strong understanding of Australian statutory and regulatory compliance in the disability sector
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on conflict resolution and teamwork
