Job Description

SICE Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the design, development, and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and tunnel management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Requirements Analysis: Review and analyze project requirements to ensure accurate and efficient system implementation.
  • System Implementation and Testing: Participate in the implementation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ITS subsystems, including power distribution, control systems, ITS cabinets, and detection systems.
  • Procurement and Testing: Support the procurement and testing processes of ITS subsystems to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Design and Documentation: Review and update design reports, drawings, spreadsheets, schedules, and asset registers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Education: Recent graduate in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Experience: Experience in the ITS sector is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Understanding of PLCs and industrial communication protocols, work or academic experience with electrical design software, experience configuring commercial electronic/electromechanical equipment, basic understanding of communication networks and user-level computer systems.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the AS 3000 Wiring Standards, MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint), working knowledge and/or experience with cable sizing, cabinets, and switchboards.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
