NDT Technician Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting various inspection techniques to ensure the integrity and quality of aircraft structures.

  • Perform Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle, Liquid/Fluid Penetrant, Eddy Current, Radiography, Hardness, and Conductivity inspections.
  • Generate engineering reports detailing identified defects within the Aircraft structure.
  • Comply with maintenance manuals, publications, and adhere to all Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) Aeronautical regulatory procedures.

We are seeking a Level 2 Non-Destructive Inspection Technician to join our C-27J Base Maintenance team. As an NDT Technician, you will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to achieve quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect aircraft structures using various techniques.
  • Analyze data and generate reports detailing findings.
  • Communicate progress updates, delays, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide data relating to quality control and weekly KPI figures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a related field such as Engineering or Physics.
  • Relevant experience in non-destructive testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
