Key Transport Professional Required

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced transport professional to join our team. This newly created role will be responsible for providing performance insights, analytical reports, and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business performance in the transport space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize data analytics to analyze and evaluate transport activities by site, location, state, and country costs
  • Deliver clear and concise reporting aligned with objectives and KPIs, which are easily understandable and actionable
  • Select transport and 3PL providers based on performance and effectiveness
  • Negotiate contracts with and manage transport and 3PL providers to ensure they meet performance, cost, time, and service level agreements
  • Continuously evaluate the performance of providers and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Collaborate with providers to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency
  • Monitor transport and 3PL costs to ensure they remain within budgetary constraints
  • Ensure accurate monthly reporting to senior management
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or supply chain (or equivalent recognized in Australia)
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft products and other information systems
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics practices and legislation and ability to translate into simple terms
  • Understanding of financial accounting practices
  • Experience with a TMS and maximizing data
