Job Description

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Executive Culinary Operations Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional patient and staff experiences.

About the Role

This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision. You will be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene within the kitchen environment.

As an experienced chef with strong leadership skills, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining regular temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards
  • Implementing Food Safety Program
  • Sound knowledge dietary nutrition requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards, WH&S management and function coordinating
  • Lead team members to deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff
  • Provide management and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation
  • Kitchen and food cost management within budget
  • Liaise with management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or equivalent, Certificate IV preferable
  • Minimum certificate level qualifications in management
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Certificate in Safe Food Handling
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Experience in executing all aspects of kitchen operations and food preparation in a hospital or similar catering environment
  • Pride in personal appearance and hygiene
Compensation Package

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
