Job Description

The organization is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer to serve as a key Subject Matter Expert in the technology stack, working on multiple projects and key BAU support activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Acts as trusted advisor for communication technologies
  • Builds, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots the organization's communication and collaboration services including:
    • Microsoft Teams Voice systems
    • Genesys Contact Centre
    • Video Conference and Audio-Visual systems (Polycom and Microsoft Teams)
    • Teleconference and audio conference systems
    • Trading Systems (Unigy and Verint)
    • Session Border Controllers (Voice Security Gateways)
    • PABX Voice systems
    • Physical handsets and Softphones
    • Branch communication and telephony network infrastructure
    • ASC recording system
  • Leads and participates in projects, including researching and testing the provisioning of new technology where required
  • Collaborates in sprints and daily stand-ups, tackles blockers, and delivers project tasks
  • Liaises with external vendors as required
  • Provides regular review, analysis, and reporting of system availability
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation for new installations and systems changes

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a Voice/Unified Communications/System Administration role
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Voice and PABX systems
  • Experience in the administration and configuration of Contact Centre systems with Genesys Contact Centre knowledge preferred
  • Experience with telephony infrastructure including AudioCodes SBCs
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Experience supporting trade floor environments
  • Sound technical documentation skills
  • An understanding of ITIL frameworks and principles and change processes
  • An understanding of Project Management methodologies such as Prince 2 or Agile/Scrum
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
  • Willing and able to be on call when required
