About the Role

We are seeking a Merchandise Planner to join our Stylerunner team. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in maximizing business profitability through effective stock management.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Developing and implementing merchandise strategies in conjunction with the buying team
  • Managing on-time-in-full (OTB) delivery and inventory levels
  • Maximizing sales, profit, and return on inventory
  • Managing promotional and markdown material
  • Leading and managing the forecast review process to identify opportunities and risks
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to compare with budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Allocating and replenishing product to maximize sales and deliver profitable outcomes
  • Developing frameworks to ensure the buy reflects strategic intent and delivery of budget expectations
  • Mentoring and coaching direct reports to develop their skills

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage an OTB
  • Forecasting ability
  • Ability to understand data and analytics and make recommendations
  • Proven ability to drive inventory productivity improvements
  • Ability to take a proactive approach and think strategically
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to lead Excel-based projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Previous experience in both planner roles and inventory management roles, ideally in the own brand and/or apparel industry
