Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of significant construction and maintenance projects, ensuring delivery of services to agreed standards.
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with the department's strategy, policies, systems, and procedures, and according to the Queensland Government's Building Policy Framework, Building Policy Guideline, and other relevant whole-of-government policy frameworks.
  • Optimize alliances and partnerships with key internal/external stakeholders and service providers, and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative strategies to meet the department's infrastructure services requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of a high-performing, efficient, and effective team.
  • Identify emerging issues, risks, and priorities that may impact project delivery and proactively respond with strategies to address these impacts.
  • Monitor, analyze, forecast, and report on project performance to ensure the branch meets its strategic and operational performance targets and delivers projects/initiatives as planned.
  • Provide high-level advice to branch management and other departmental executives on infrastructure project planning and delivery status, expenditure forecasts, risks, and emerging issues.

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Manager with a strong background in project delivery and management.
  • Excellent leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to lead and manage high-profile projects.
  • Strong understanding of the Queensland Government's Building Policy Framework, Building Policy Guideline, and other relevant whole-of-government policy frameworks.
  • Ability to optimize alliances and partnerships with key internal/external stakeholders and service providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify emerging issues, risks, and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-level advice to branch management and other departmental executives.
