Our goal is to hire a seasoned Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the care of our residents at our 50-bed skilled nursing facility in Charlotte Bay.
Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the entire nursing department
- Develop effective staffing procedures
- Set objectives for the nursing department and develop long-term goals
- Coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
- Establish policies to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage budgets and monitor expenses within the department
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
- Organize record-keeping procedures
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals
- Must have a current/unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Australia
- Passion for working with seniors
- At least one year of experience in nursing management in the long-term care industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Able to lead and develop personnel
